YOUTH

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

Our purpose is to equip the younger generation. We desire to help them understand the Word of God in a familiar setting. Our main goal is to help them seek a closer and stronger relationship with Jesus! Equip them, train them, and most importantly… love them through Christ and their times of growth.

REQUIRED:

• Must be a member of North Highland Baptist Church 
• Anyone working directly with students must be at least 24 years old, approved by the Student Pastor and work alongside him.
• Anyone who works with minors is required to have a background check run by North Highland. A clean background check must be on file before working with children in any capacity. 
• Regular background checks will be completed as required by the church

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The most important thing we must do is pray for each student daily that God protects their bodies and minds from the attacks that Satan has on them. The only way we can show Jesus to others is to be saved first!   
• Be prepared and ready to teach the youth group on a Wednesday night if possible
• Come up with fun short games to help the youth become comfortable with the group so they will hear the message.
• During youth events, make sure students aren’t doing anything they shouldn’t be doing
• Share what Jesus has done for you as much as possible with them before and after any event
• Be available when they have questions in person, via text, or other social media.
