VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Vacation Bible School is the biggest outreach ministry the church does every year!  It is a chance to spread the Gospel of Salvation to the children and their families in our community who would not normally go to church any other time, and it is done in a fun and inviting atmosphere.

REQUIRED:

• Must be a member of North Highland Baptist Churcg
• All student helpers must be at least 14 years old
• Anyone who works with minors (including a student helper) is required to have a background check run by North Highland. A clean background check must be on file before working with children in any capacity. Minors must have signed parent permission before running a background check.
• Regular background checks will be completed as required by the church

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The first and most important thing to do is to pray for VBS. Pray about how you need to be involved (a teacher, helper, kitchen worker, etc.…). Anyone can be a part of VBS. During the week of VBS, we have the opportunity to reach out to these kids and teach them about Jesus, the Bible, and salvation. We also have an opportunity to reach and witness to not only these kids but to their families as well! Many children who attend VBS each year are not taken to church regularly, so we must be Christ-like and show these children and their families the love of the Lord!!
• Help the VBS Leadership decide on the best material to use
• Teach or help in a class 
• Help with the decorating (the weeks leading up to VBS)
• Be a kitchen worker
• Work registration before events start nightly
• Help with dismissal each night (get kids to get to their parents)
• Work in Crafts (as a teacher or helper)
• Nursery worker (Only for North Highland children)
