The Certainty of God's Promises

2 Corinthians 1:18-22
18 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. 20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Thoughts:
In a world of uncertainty, God's promises stand firm. Paul declares that all of God's promises find their "Yes" in Christ. When doubts creep in or circumstances attempt to confuse us in God's word, we can rest in the unwavering nature of His promises. Today, identify a promise from Scripture that speaks to your current situation. Meditate on it, believing that God's "Yes" is louder than any "No" you might be hearing.

Prayer:
Thank God for His faithfulness and ask for increased faith to trust His promises, even when you can't see their fulfillment yet. Remember, as you go through this week, that your heart is a mirror reflecting Christ to others. In both suffering and comfort, seek to be a faithful witness of God's enduring love and grace.
