Helpers of Joy

2 Corinthians 1:23-24
23 Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth. 24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.

Thoughts:
Paul beautifully describes his role not as having "dominion over your faith," but as "helpers of your joy." This reminds us that mature Christian leadership and discipleship are about helping others grow and experience joy in Christ, not controlling or dictating their faith. Today, consider your relationships. Are you a "helper of joy" to those around you? How can you encourage someone's faith without being forceful or overbearing?

Prayer:
Pray for wisdom to balance truth and grace in your interactions, always pointing others to the source of true joy: Jesus Christ. Remember, as you have walked through this week, your heart was a mirror reflecting Christ to others. In both suffering and comfort, you’ve sought to be a faithful witness of God's enduring love and grace.
