Accepted in the Beloved
Ephesians 1:6-7
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Colossians 1:13-14
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Thoughts:
Today, let’s focus on a profound truth: we are "accepted in the Beloved." This phrase from Ephesians 1:6 carries tremendous significance. Our acceptance by God isn't based on our own merits, but in our connection with Christ, the Beloved Son.
Reflect on times when you've felt unacceptable or unworthy. Now, consider that in Christ, you are fully accepted by God. This acceptance isn't grudging or conditional; it’s as complete and joyful as the Father's acceptance of His own Son.
Colossians reminds us that we've been rescued from darkness and brought into the kingdom of God's beloved Son. How does this shift your perspective on your past mistakes or current struggles? How might living in this acceptance change your interactions with others?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for accepting me in Christ. Help me to live in the freedom and confidence of Your acceptance, extending that same grace to others.
