Predestined for a Purpose

Ephesians 1:11-12
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Romans 8:28-30
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Thoughts:
The concept of predestination can be challenging, but today's scriptures present it as a source of comfort and purpose. God's plan for our adoption and salvation wasn't a reaction to our sin, but a proactive and predetermined action of His love.

Ephesians tells us we were "predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will." This means your life has deep meaning and purpose. Even in confusion or difficulty, you can trust that God is working out His good plan.

Romans 8 assures us that God is working all things for the good of those who love Him. Let the truth of this power of God change and shape you. Let it change the way it shapes your prayers and hopes for the future.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your sovereign plan for my life. Help me to trust Your purpose, even when I don't understand. Guide me in fulfilling the calling You've placed on my life.
