Walking Worthy of Our Calling

Ephesians 4:1-6
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Thoughts:
As we take our journey through Ephesians, we're challenged to live lives worthy of our calling in Christ. Notice how Paul emphasizes unity and the virtues that maintain it: humility, gentleness, patience, and love. Which of these qualities do you find most challenging to perform? Consider how your life might look different if you fully embraced your identity as one called by God. The repeated use of "one" in verses 4-6 underscores the unity we have in Christ despite our differences. How might this perspective change the way you interact with fellow believers, especially those with whom you disagree?

Prayer:
Be a peacemaker and a unifying person in those you are around daily.
