The Power Working Within

Philippians 1:6-14
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: 7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. 8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; 13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; 14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

2 Corinthians 4:7-12
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

Thoughts:
The same power that raised Christ from the dead works within you. This isn't explosive power alone, it's the steady, transforming power that grows mighty oaks from tiny seeds and carves canyons through persistent water flow. God's power in you may work slowly, but it works surely. Paul discovered that his imprisonment, which seemed to hinder God's plan, actually furthered the Gospel beyond his imagination. Your setback may be God's setup for something exceedingly abundantly above what you asked or thought. That closed door can redirect you toward God's masterpiece.

Prayer:
Trust the power working within you, even when progress seems invisible. The Holy Spirit is shaping, strengthening, and establishing you according to God's perfect design.
