The Power of God's Word

2 Timothy 3:14-17
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Hebrews 4:12-13
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Thoughts:
The Word of God is our source of revelation and spiritual nourishment. Yet, as mentioned this week, it's often the least read, least brought to church of believers. Today, challenge yourself to engage more deeply with Scripture. As you read the Bible, don't just skim the surface, but let the Word penetrate your heart and mind. How is God's Word "living and active" in your life? In what areas do you need its guidance, correction, or encouragement?

Prayer:
Commit to making Bible study a non-negotiable part of your daily routine, recognizing it as essential for spiritual growth and understanding God's will. Ask God to help you understand it and to remain faithful to the study of it.
