A New Identity

Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Thoughts:
"Therefore, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household" (v.19). What a powerful statement of our new identity in Christ! We've moved from being outsiders to being part of God's family.

This new identity isn't just a label; it comes with a purpose. We are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit (v.22). Reflect on what it means to be in God's family. How does this change how you view yourself and your role in the body of Christ? Today, embrace your identity as a child of God and an essential part of His household.

Prayer:
Ask God for ways to contribute to the building up of God's temple through acts of love, service, and unity with other believers.
