Our Redemption in Christ

Ephesians 1:7-10
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; 9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

Thoughts:
Today we focus on the heart of the Gospel which is our redemption through Christ's blood. Pause to consider the immeasurable cost of your forgiveness. The phrase "according to the riches of his grace" suggests a costly, abundant outpouring of God's unmerited favor upon us. How does this contrast with the ways we often try to earn God's approval or the approval of others? Reflect on the "mystery of his will" (v.9) that God has made known to us. How might this knowledge of God's ultimate plan to unite all things in Christ shape your perspective on current events happening around us or even in our own personal struggles?

Prayer:
Ask the Lord to reveal more and more of His Gospel message of salvation to you so that you can share it in greater ways with those who need it. As you seek Him about learning more, make sure you do not seek to only share with others, but that you seek to know Him more.
