Praying With Kingdom Purpose

1 John 5:14-15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Matthew 6:9-13
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

James 4:1-3
1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Thoughts:
Powerful prayer flows from proper motives. We pray for inner strength not for personal comfort, but to hold onto what God has for us. We pray to be settled in Christ so we can experience His love and extend it to others. We pray for fullness of God to bring Him glory. When our prayers align with God's will and Kingdom purposes, we pray with confidence. His promise is clear: if we ask according to His will, He hears us, and we have what we've requested. Examine your prayer life today. Are you asking according to God's purposes or merely your desires and will?

Prayer:
Transform your prayer list by adding "for Your glory" to each request. Watch how this shifts your perspective and increases your faith in the God who is able.
