Answering God’s Call
Isaiah 6:8-9
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9 And he said, Go, and tell this people,
Hear ye indeed, but understand not;
and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
When Jesus called Bartimaeus, he rose and came to Him immediately. This prompt response underscores the urgency with which we should respond to God’s callings in our lives.
God is always calling us to a deeper connection, to serving others, and to personal growth. How quickly do you answer His call? Are there any areas where you’ve been hesitant or resistant? Today, pay close attention to God’s voice and try to respond with immediate enthusiasm.
Prayer:
Lord, open my ears to hear Your call clearly. Give me a willing heart to respond quickly and faithfully to Your leading. In Jesus' name. Amen
