Nothing Can Separate Us
Romans 8:35 and 37–39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ … Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come Nor height nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Thought:
The Christian journey isn’t about avoiding challenges. Paul mentions things like tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, and the sword. These aren’t indications that Christ has left His followers. In all these difficulties, we’re stronger than conquerors through Him who loves us. Being stronger than a conqueror means that even the toughest things that happen to you can’t defeat you, but they’re part of God’s plan to bring you to glory. Christ’s love doesn’t always save you from the storm, but it always keeps you in it.
Sometimes, it might feel like God is out of reach. But Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, is so sure that nothing in the world can keep you from God’s love through Christ Jesus. That’s not your past sins and mistakes, your current troubles, your future worries, or even the spiritual forces. And death itself? It can’t separate you either. When you feel accused, or when others accuse you, remember this truth: Christ died for you, rose for you, and is always interceding for you. You’re held by a love that will last through every challenge and will guide you to the day when everything is revealed and the glory is shown.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your unwavering love and for it never changing. I admit that sometimes, things, and how I feel can make me doubt, but today, I’m choosing to believe Your word. Please remind me that nothing, not even hardship, failure, or the darkness of this world, can keep me from Your love. Help me become more than a conqueror, trusting in what You did for me at the cross and in the empty tomb. Keep me faithful until the day I see Your glory. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
