Speak the Word Faithfully
Jeremiah 23:28
He that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully.
Thought:
God has not called His people to speak with empty opinion when His truth is available. To speak for the Lord is a sacred responsibility. Our words should be shaped by Scripture, governed by reverence, and delivered with humility. When we speak about spiritual matters, we are not trying to impress others with our insight. We are seeking to honor the God who has spoken.
This means we must ask whether our conversations, counseling, teaching, and witness are rooted in the Word of God. Faithful speech is not always popular, but it is always necessary. Today, before speaking into someone’s life, stop and ask, Am I speaking what is true, helpful, and pleasing to the Lord?
Prayer:
Father, help me to speak Your Word faithfully. Guard my mouth from careless words and guide my heart into truth. Let my conversations honor You and help others see Your wisdom and grace. In Jesus' name, amen.
