Living as His Testimony

Ephesians 4:29-32
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

1 Peter 2:9-12
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Thoughts:
Your life is a living sermon that either commends or contradicts the Gospel. When bitterness, rage, and slander characterize our relationships, we grieve the Holy Spirit and misrepresent our Savior. But when kindness, tenderheartedness, and forgiveness flow from us, even as God forgave us in Christ, we become walking testimonies of His grace. People are watching how believers handle conflict, disappointment, and offense. Will they see the patience of Christ or the response of the world? Your transformed life may be the only Bible some people read. Today, consider one relationship where you've harbored bitterness or withheld forgiveness. Choose to extend the same grace Christ gave you. Let your life answer the question clearly: "Who taught you to live like that?" with the joyful response, "Jesus did."

Prayer:
Ask the Lord for more opprotunities to share His Gospel with others. Pray for the discernment and grace to present your life a sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him.
