Seeing God's Appointment

John 12:12
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.

Thought:
The people were at the Passover feast to remember how God saved Israel from Egypt. That feast was an appointment set by God. On this day, Jesus walks into that appointment as the true Passover Lamb.

In Exodus, each family chose a lamb, cared for it, and then killed it so that its blood would cover them from judgment. That lamb pointed to Jesus. He is God’s Lamb, chosen before the world began, coming at the exact time God planned.

This shows us something very important about God. He does not guess about the future. He does not react to what people do. He plans, promises, and then fulfills His Word. Just as Passover was not an accident, the cross was not an accident. Your salvation is not an accident either.

When you see Jesus entering Jerusalem at Passover, you are seeing God keep His prophetic promise to save sinners. Prophecy is not like a weather forecast that might change. It is God’s certain plan being carried out. Numbers 23:19 says God cannot lie. If He says He will save, then He will save completely through His Son.

Today, remember: your life is not random. The same God who set that feast and sent His Son at the right moment knows you, sees you, and invites you to trust His plan in Christ.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that Your coming to Jerusalem was not an accident, but a loving plan from God. Thank You for being the true Passover Lamb who came to die for my sins. Help me to trust that Your plans are sure and that Your promises never fail. I give You my fears about the future and rest in Your perfect timing. In Jesus name, amen.
