Walking as Children of Light

Ephesians 5:8-13
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

2 Corinthians 4:6
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Thoughts:
You were once darkness, not just in darkness, but darkness itself. Now you are light in the Lord. This radical transformation demands a radical lifestyle. Light exposes, reveals, and reproves darkness not through condemnation but through presence. When light enters a dark room, it doesn't argue with the darkness; it simply shines. Your transformed life is the evidence that convinces others of God's reality. The fruit of the Spirit, goodness, righteousness, and truth, grows naturally in those who abide in Christ. You cannot have fellowship with darkness while walking in light. The question isn't whether you'll encounter darkness, but whether you'll shine into it or be absorbed by it.

Prayer:
If you were arrested for being a Christian today, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Ask our Lord to evaluate your life and to see if there is evidence of His salvation in it.
