Awake and Arise

Ephesians 5:14-17
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Romans 13:11-14
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Thoughts:
Many profess faith but sleep through their salvation. They claim Christ but live as though spiritually dead. Paul's urgent call rings through the centuries: "Awake! Arise from the dead!" The days are evil, and time is short. Redeeming the time means living with kingdom urgency, understanding that every moment matters for eternity. Walking circumspectly means living carefully, accurately, wisely; not as fools who waste their days on trivial pursuits. God's will isn't mysterious or hidden; it's revealed in His Word and confirmed by His Spirit. Stop sleepwalking through your Christian life. The light of Christ is available to illuminate your path, but you must open your eyes and walk in it intentionally.

Prayer:
Are you spending your time on what matters for eternity, or squandering it on temporary pleasures? Ask the Lord to forgive your apathy and laziness. Wake up and walk in Christ.
