Recognizing the Battle
Ephesians 6:10-12
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Thought:
The world is a battlefield filled with unseen spiritual forces. Many times, we dismiss our struggles as merely psychological, relational, or societal issues, forgetting that there is a spiritual battle beneath the surface. Paul reminds us that our real fight isn't against people but against spiritual forces of evil. As believers, our strength is not found in our abilities but in our relationship with Jesus Christ and His power. We must be aware and prepared for the spiritual warfare around us.
Prayer:
Lord, open my eyes to the spiritual battles around and within me. Help me to rely on Your strength and armor, and empower me to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Amen.
